Sri Story Notes
I liked yesterday’s raw mewings came out as a barely structured brain dump. While this isn’t great writing, it does feel more authentic to how I was feeling. I will try it again today.
Mrah! Another day of dealing with the double whammy of NOT ENOUGH SLEEP and RUNNING MULTIPLE ERRANDS. Such days always seem to exact a heavy toll on my ability to be focused and alert. It’s around 10PM now, and I’m only now starting to feel bright-eyed and ready to pounce on something to do.
But on WHAT? On good days, I don’t need a running start to execute a good pounce-to-task, but this is not a good day. So, let me shimmy back and look at what Sri of the Past did yesterday…
Oh, right, I had been working on a Code Thing, making a software package that would help me pounce on web application creation. This is a part of a foundational set up skills that I’m developing.
ASIDE: This is a list what I can realistically accomplish in a few months if I stick with it. They’re the best way to package the internal complexity of HOW and WHY I do these things into something everyone can understand. I really do want to meet other cats that have similar complexity simmering below their fuzzy exteriors, but it’s the fuzzyiness that makes themm approachable in the first place!
- Deno WebApp Prototype - In fact, I had just earlier been thinking about this as an extension of older project called Sri’s Universal Realtime System aka URSYS (or URP for short, rhymes with BURP). I wanted a better name for the new project. The basic idea for it was to make a robust “software building toy” like a really good LEGO Robotics set, except for web applications.
- SriGarten - This is the publishing system I use for making this website, a replacement for my old Wordpress-based site. It’s a digital garden that’s a lot easier to use and customize, generating a static website that can be hosted on the cheapest possible webservers! It’s really customized around my particular editorial workflow, and someday I’d like to package-it-up and share it. Maybe as a module for the WebApp software toy.
- Web Revival Group - My holy grail is to gather people who love building things together to found a sharing show and tell, because it is this kind of human connection that really fills me with excitment. I have not been excited like that for a realllly long time. Bah!
If I can get these three things to a public shareable state, they can be used to catalyze new opportunities and connections for friend-making! So yes! Important! I keep forgetting this! I need to remember that:
I have three pounce targets that ensure I’m doing the best possible thing. They are my anchor when I lose focus!
So…let me pick up where I left off yesterday on the WebApp Prototype. It really needs a better name. Maybe SLURP for “Sri’s Lazy Universal Realtime Prototool”?
Adulting Groove!
