GHDR stands for "Groundhog Day Resolutions", a yearly planning ritual that I have been doing since 2007. It is based on three observations:
-
I'm not ready to make year-long strategic goals on January 1st. Waiting until February 2nd (Groundhog Day here in the United States) gives me the time I need to close-out the previous year and reflect.
-
By noticing the date pattern 2/2, 3/3, etc, I can remember to review periodically to stay on track.
-
The Groundhog Day movie and the idea of prognosticating rodents fills me with glee!
