Apple IIGS Game Screen Mockup

I made this for fun back in 1988, when I was a freshman in college. The goal was to create a game around it for the Apple IIGS, but that never came to pass. I still like the design, though…320x200, 16-color restriction required careful palette management to allow for any kind of game graphics.

Low Resolution MCGA Graphics

Designed for the game Star Reach, this is a 8-bit low-resolution information graphics display. The game allowed you to manage multiple communication windows and planetary statistics (each pane here fit into a larger view, and could appear individually as a soft display).

I think I did this back in 1991 or 1992. I did most of the 2d graphics in the game while Mark handled the 3D ships. Star Reach was published sometime in 1992 by Interplay; the shipping game graphics were touched-up by Interplay’s production team (I haven’t seen a working copy of the game myself to see what they changed). My name is also misspelled, according to Mark. Still, first game I worked on that actually was published.
