[WORK IN PROGRESS]
I think the magical insight is about the flow, which makes sense because The Cat likes swirling and flowing. That means motion and being in the moment!
Simply “producing goods” is NOT swirling OR flowing!
Swirling and Flowing are live acts of caring.
This is the nature of hospitality. It is only experienced in the moment of interaction. This is the nature of a ship. It is truly alive when it’s on the move and fulfilling its mission through its many operations and crew members pulling together.
Instead of waiting for people to want to swirl with me, I can simply swirl as I have in the past. Through blog posts. Through commentary. Through livestreaming. Each of them explaining, building, and sharing the best things.
In practice, I think this simply means sharing through as many channels as possible along with my interests.
- My known relative strengths are the skills from past experience.
- The newly-identified “strengths” are “hospitality” and “improving ship operations”.
- The mission is independent making as a goal, collaborating with others to build uplifting structures we can share.
- The culture is that all the animals are happy productive friends working and playing together
- Hospitality and Ship Operations serve the mission.
- The ship is how I am perceived by others as an entity sharing via online media and in-person meetings that is always about actively doing something in expeditions, cruises, short run projects, etc.
But the big scary change is…
Perform live acts of caring! The mission and the ship are the directors of that caring, as is hospitality and operations.
and
My form of live caring is chatting, blogging, livestreaming, and otherwise being present as I explore, learn, share, and build
and
To be present in the problem, with others, being authentic/transparent/curious as I gnaw on it
A new Activity Bingo Board will have different categories:
- thinking of things that help other people understand a problem
- demonstrating experiments are uncertain yet not scary
- showing interest in other people’s projects
- designing knowledge products that help other people’s projects and insight
- writing articles that sooth them
- making it easier to find things that they need
- hosting events where authenticity, transparency, and curiosity are on display
- being a good host
- running a capable ship
- taking on short expeditions and the crew
Creating a coherent story about these activities is part of the mission. It is the story that both grounds me and attracts others who feel they can have a good experience on my ship with me and the crew.
Living the coherent story out loud is how I demonstrate caring. This creates connection and condition for fruitful collaboration. It must come first.
