In the Sri-verse, there are tasks that require making something for the first time and ones that I can do without thinking. In between that is the meta-task of converting the task performance into a learned skill as part of mastery.
In this context, synthesis is the act of making something new that you don't know how to do, and it has very different needs compared to pattern-based tasks where you are reproducing steps to you know will create a specific output.
