This section collects logo and identity work. Most of it is for my own projects or local organizations that I volunteered for. I consider myself mostly an information graphics designer, but it’s also fun to create collateral for packaging, business cards, and merch. My approach to this kind of work is rather time consuming; as a solo designer it’s hard to justify the time spent with what the local market can afford, so I do this for causes that matter to me.
Logos for BarCamp Manchester 6
BarCamp is a “user-generated conference” that relies on volunteers to create a local gathering to share their interests. While there is an official logo, organizers often create their own spin on it.
This logo was created both for posters and for the badges that we provided at registration.
Regarding the design, Manchester, NH has the nickname “Manch Vegas” and “Queen City”; the design suggests a slot machine display. The design also allowed for changing the number each year.

Logo for The Collective Station 03060
I brainstormed the idea for a local creative group with my friend Sid Ceaser, and got excited about making a logo to make stickers and posters!
The idea still exists, but life happened and the idea has to change. It’s hard to make a group like this when you’re a working adult with limited time.

Logo for The Tiny School
The Tiny School was a project to create a group learning space. Today, it might work as a portable meetup or unconference.
The challenge is finding anchor people who love to learn, teach, and share their work.

Logo for GHD/O
This was for a personal project for nurturing people in their daily productivity tasks. I can’t find the writeup for it, but the logo is cute.

Logo for Seah Design
This is the brand mark for projects associated with my productivity tools. The bubbles reflect the time bubbles on these forms.

Personal Business Card (2000)
I like vertical format cards, and wanted to make one with a 1:2 aspect ratio. At the time, I was very into precision design work of a sci-fi style.
The metallic marble was rendered in 3DS R4, I believe. Shadow work and etching was done by hand in Photoshop. I still like this card, and wish I could find the source files for it.

Personal Business Card (2009-ish)
This card tells a story about how I approach design using gestalt psychology and information hierarchy. The dots demonstrates how a simple change in spacing and pattern alters perception of object relationships.
I don’t have a writeup on this particular iteration, but it is my favorite.

Personal Business Card (2025)
After 10 years of JavaScript, I wanted to return to freelance under a new idea: human-centric work, with everything else I know as just tools I can bring to bear.
This is more of a personal calling card than a business card, a work in progress.

Operating Guide for Seah Model Four/3
This is a silly instruction card for the Seah Model Four/3, which is an abstract version of me. The card summarizes important facts about maintaining optimimum performance of the model Four/3 to prevent it from overheating or suffering from catastrophic system failure.
At its heart, though, are genuine insights about how I work and feel fulfillment. I made this quite some years before being clinically diagnosed as having Autism Level 1 and ADHD traits. A lot of them make sense in that context now!

Server Icon for DS|Play Discord Server
I run DS|CAFE, a virtual coworking server on Discord. There’s also a companion server called DS|PLAY which is for goofing around.
Because the badges are rendered at very small sizes (32x32 I think), the text is kept simple and most of the detail reads as colored texture. It’s unique enough to be recognizeable in its context. Shown at its original mastering size of 512x512 pixels, there’s subtle detail that evokes old monitors and video games.
