01 LOGOTYPE

Artistically combine your initiatials into a single shape.

• Uses: artistic type tool, grouping, scaling, convert to curves, geometry operations

02 SILHOUETTE

Combine primitive shapes into a silhouette of a provided picture of an object.

• Uses: shape tools, layer transparency, geometry operations

03 STROKE AND FILL

Draw an object from a picture of your choosing. Start with a silhouette, then use color strokes and fills to build it up.

• Uses: color panel, stroke/fill panel, layer panel, gradient tool, paste-inside and clipping tools

04 TRACE

Draw an object using the bezier pen and curve editing tools by hand-tracing a photograph of an object.

• Uses: import and place, layer locking, bezier tool, corner tool, paste-inside, clipping masks, compound shape and path tools

05 MEDIUM

Final exercise is to make business cards, letterhead, and posters using your prior work and those of your fellow students.
